Hyperbead Tents

Big Agnes' HyperBead™ technology is a proprietary waterproofing innovation applied to their ultralight tent fabrics. Unlike traditional methods that rely on added durable water repellent (DWR) treatments or coatings, HyperBead™ achieves inherent waterproofness at the molecular level. This results in fabrics that are 6% lighter, 50-100% stronger, and 25% more waterproof than traditional tent fabrics. Additionally, HyperBead™ provides water repellency that doesn't wear off over time, eliminating the need to re-waterproof your tent. It's also environmentally friendly, as it doesn't use intentionally added PFAS chemicals or other harmful waterproofing methods.

This technology is featured in several of Big Agnes' tent lines, including the Copper Spur UL, Tiger Wall UL, and Fly Creek UL series.
